About Dynamic Rhythms
At Dynamic Rhythms, music is about more than notes and rhythm — it’s about confidence, connection and joy.
We’re a family-focused music studio offering supportive, engaging lessons for babies, children, teens and adults. Our goal is to help every student feel encouraged, capable and excited to learn — no matter their age or experience.
Our Philosophy
We believe that:
Every child learns differently
Confidence comes before performance
Music should feel safe, positive and enjoyable
That’s why our lessons are designed to meet students exactly where they are. We take the time to understand each learner’s personality, needs and learning style, creating lessons that feel achievable rather than overwhelming.
When students feel supported, progress follows naturally.
A Studio Designed for Families
We understand how busy family life can be. Many parents come to us feeling unsure:
Will my child cope?
What if they’re shy or easily distracted?
What if they lose interest?
You’re not alone — and these concerns are completely normal.
At Dynamic Rhythms, we focus on:
building trust and rapport
creating a calm, welcoming environment
encouraging effort, not perfection
Our studio is a place where children feel safe to try, make mistakes and grow.

Principal Kath Swallow:
Kath grew up in a family with a passion for music. Her father was a vocalist in the St Andrews Boys Choir in Sydney and her Grandfather played piano in his own band in the 40s and 50s.
Kath started studying flute in 1981 and has been teaching the flute in the local area since 1992. Kath studied her under the tutelage of Naomi Halls (AMEB examiner) and Roma Dix OAM.
Kath plays flute, piccolo, piano and cello and with her family has toured through Italy, Switzerland, Austria and Germany with the Campbelltown Camden District Band and have performed with the band for more than 30 years. Kath has also performed in the orchestra of a number of productions for local Theatre groups including Picton, WOFTAM and the Campbelltown Theatre group as well as the Southwest Sydney Philharmonic Orchestra.
Professional Student Support Team:
DRMA’s reception and student support team is run by a dedicated team of staff. This includes Kath Swallow, Craig Swallow, Jess Overton & Crystal Dempsey.
Kath Swallow and Jess Overton are also teachers at DRMA and play a large role in co-ordinating events such as our Annual Concert.
Always willing to help with a friendly smile, we are here to assist in any way possible.
